Sonic Groove Records was born in Brooklyn in 1990 and helped define American techno from the ground up. Founded by Adam X, Frankie Bones, and Heather Heart, it grew out of Groove Records, the first all-techno shop in the United States, and lit the fuse for the East Coast rave movement.

From STORM raves in warehouses to underground zines like Under One Sky, Sonic Groove was never just a label. It was the engine of a scene. When the New York chapter closed, it reemerged in Berlin and evolved into a global force in industrial and experimental techno.

More than 30 years on, Sonic Groove remains raw, relentless, and essential.
