Before house music took over the world, it was being built in Chicago warehouses. Founded in 1984, Trax Records captured the raw energy coming out of the city’s underground, where DJs transformed disco into something entirely new. As one of the original homes of house music, Trax helped define the sound of clubs everywhere. Still independently owned and operated by Screamin’ Rachael, the label continues to carry that legacy forward.
